It can be tempting to say yes to any paid work that comes your way, and while I definitely think you should take all the opportunities you can, you have to consider the first impression you make with this client. If you can’t do the job to the best of your ability, for whatever reason, you might risk burning a bridge with this client.
Getting an outside perspective on your portfolio can vastly improve your work. By seeking out the opinion of someone in the industry, you can get a fresh pair of eyes on your work and they can often see what you can’t.
